howdy!

here’s a bit about lil’ ol’ me…

As someone who is naturally quite introverted and pensive, nature has been a source of solace and inspiration for me; its sights, its sounds, but most of all, its silences. I feel most myself after I’ve spent time in the company of trees.

My fascination with birds began one quiet summer morning as I sat sipping my cold brew, feeling the gentle dawn breeze drifting through the open window. Suddenly, I heard the sweetest birdsong—a cheerful "feeeeebeeeee!"—and my heart skipped a beat! The tune was effortless as the breeze itself. It was then that I discovered my spark bird, the black-capped chickadee—a tiny, spunky, curious little thing that has since held my heart captive!

Thanks to the chickadee who serenaded me that morning, I've learned to pay close attention to the fascinating lives of the wildlife that inhabit our backyards and local parks. This newfound appreciation has only deepened my fascination with birds. My birding life list is now ever-growing, and my camera roll overflows with pictures of charming chickadees, impressive ospreys, and acrobatic swallows— just to name a few! They are my favorite subjects to photograph!
